Finny is our shining star with 'multiple talents'. He is a well balanced, muscular dog, that covers ground effortlessly. He stands a beautiful 24" tall at the withers and weighs 80 pounds. Finny exhibits a stunning and pleasing headpiece with a soft expression, he has a correct ear and also has substantial bone with very nice rib spring. Finny has a smooth blend of neck into shoulder, full dentition, he is clean coming and going and moves with full extension of his front and rear. Finny has a confident temperament and is a happy boy that gets along exceptionally well with other dogs and puppies. Finny has a wash and wear coat with correct coat texture, dark eyes, level topline and a correct tail carriage. We are very proud of Finny and his accomplishments to date. He has proven his versatility in the conformation, field and obedience arena's and will continue to participate in these venues. Finny is at an intermediate level in memory and blind retrieves; he has an excellent soft-mouthed delivery; handles well by whistle and hand signals at a distance. He has developed good marking skills; is comfortable retrieving live or dead birds; is proficient at water retrieving; quarters remarkably for upland hunting; he is steady at the sound of a shot too!

Finny won his first Best in Specialty Sweepstakes at the Des Moines Golden Retriever Club Specialty on September 4th, 2009 under judge Karen Arbuthnot. He also took a 5 point Major Reserve from the Bred By class under Judge Nancy Jean Gallant! What a GREAT DAY!!!
